Born in Paris, France, Valérie Benchitrit speaks both English and French fluently. In 1973, she immigrated to Canada and has lived here ever since. As a daughter of a Toronto-based architect and builder, she was always very close to all facets of the real estate profession. She became a licensed REALTOR® in 1989 while she studied interior design.
After completing her studies, she started in the ICI Real Estate division at Terry Martel’s downtown office, where she was responsible for the successful marketing of investment properties comprised of multiple unit dwellings, apartment buildings, commercial and retail spaces. The investment market was going through a recessionary period at that time, however, Valérie confronted the challenge and excelled.
In 1993, she was chosen as the exclusive agent acquiring multi-residential properties under The Ministry of Housing and CMHC program for a Native Housing project which resulted in dozens of sales a year.
